Return of Your Family Favourites
This year’s event sees the return of a number of events that couldn’t happen in previous years due to restrictions. From the full-throttle performance of grinding-iron and sparks flying coupled with skill and speed as part of the shoeing competitions, to delicate floral art that is back with a flourish, this year’s show also welcomes the return of Cavies – that’s guinea pigs to you and me!

Queen’s Green Canopy
In line with the Platinum Jubilee year, the show will be supporting the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative and encouraging visitors to get involved by showing you how easy it is to create a green haven in your garden while highlighting the importance of trees as critical habitats.

Food Glorious Food
Devon County Show has always been a champion of small, local producers, who are just starting out, as well as ensuring variety for everyone. Some of the many foodie traders include Churros El Quijote, purveyors of the finest Spanish Churros, Pesto from Italy who will be offering their pine nut infused pesto on pasta and freshly baked focaccia bread, and North Devon’s Blagdon Wharf Farm who will be offering their mouth-water preserves and chutneys made from the produce that doesn’t make it into their veg boxes as part of their 0% waste operation.

Best of the Rest
Of course, add to all of this a full complement of livestock competitions, live cookery demonstrations, a food walk brimming with palate-tempting treats designed to make your mouth water, and literally miles of crafts and shopping opportunities, and Devon County Show 2022 is very definitely the place to be this summer.
